श्री पुरन्दरदास के भजन का संछिप्त विवरण : हमें एक कहावत प्रसिद्ध है कि जब परमात्मा हाथों से देता है तब मनुष्य दो हाथ से कहां तक लेगा और जब वह अनंत हाथ से छीनता है तब मनुष्य दो हाथों से कहां तक संभालेगा ? कितु श्री पुरंदरदास के उपरोवत भजन को देखकर यह कहना पड़ता है– एक कंठ से उस महापुरुष ने जो गाया उसका शर्ताश भी दो करोड़ हृदय स्मरण नहीं रख सके, दो हाथों से उस महापुरुष ने ‘जो दिया उंसके शतांश को भी चार करोड़ हाथ संभाल नहीं सके………
